After the great success of the first book Flash: The Art Of The
Mark ofl 2002, this new chapter was almost a “must”, especially if we consider
that, from the 90s onward, a growing number of tattoo artists invaded artistic
territories that were once closed off.
As in the first book, each artist designed three
new pieces in their own special style.
The variety of the designs proposed is certainly
wider than the past.
The subjects of Filip Leu mix and mingle with
the rest, Tibetan symbols of Rinzing and Jondix mix with the cinema-like realism
of Robert Hernandez and Jeff Gogué, whereas traditional can count on the
incredible skills of Brad Fink, Brad Patten and Eli Quinters.
And still (randomly): Timothy Hoyer, Liorcifer, Seth Wood, Paul
Jeffries, Chris Trevino, Rob Koss, Mo Coppoletta, Pili Mo’o, Laura Satana, Danny
Boy, Mauricio Teodoro, Tin Tin, Tim Hendricks, Kurt Wiscombe, Genko and many
others. But mentioning just a few names may be limiting and unfair to the other
artists who worked on this book, great artists who use the power of their
creativity to leave a permanent sign of rare intensity.
